Isn’t It Time We Woke Up???

Bismillah.

I just happened to look at a not so old newspaper (The News, July 3, 2011). And this is what I came across: “US Embassy holds gay, lesbian ceremony in Islamabad”.
Inside the report it said: “The US Embassy has arranged first ever gay, lesbians and transgender pride celebration ceremony in Islamabad and assured its participants that Washington would continue to support their cause here in Pakistan.”

Pakistan is a Muslim country. Muslims are those who believe in one God (Allah), His Messenger Muhammad (S.A.W) and believe that Quran (Allah’s word) was revealed on the Prophet (S.A.W).

So what does Quran say about those who commit this shameful act?

And [We had sent] Lut when he said to his people, “Do you commit such immorality as no one has preceded you with from among the worlds? Indeed, you approach men with desire, instead of women. Rather, you are a transgressing people.” (7 : 80-81)

It is clearly stated here that they approached men with desire, instead of women. And further on it says that they ridiculed Prophet Lut (A.S)’s message. So what happened to them?

And We rained upon them a rain [of stones]. Then see how was the end of the criminals. (7 : 84)

In another chapter of the Quran the same story is told in these words:

Do you approach males among the worlds? And leave what your Lord has created for you as mates? But you are a people transgressing.” (26 : 165-166)

And further on it says that they ridiculed Prophet Lut (A.S)’s message. Consequences?

And We rained upon them a rain [of stones], and evil was the rain of those who were warned. Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. (26 : 173-174)

So there is a sign in this story. Can you guess what? In another place in the Quran it is mentioned:

And We have certainly presented for the people in this Qur’an from every [kind of] example – that they might remember. (39 : 27)

They might remember what? The terrible punishment of those people, they were stoned to death. And it says in another place that:

So when Our command came, We made the highest part [of the city] its lowest and rained upon them stones of layered hard clay, [which were] Marked from your Lord. And Allah ‘s punishment is not from the wrongdoers [very] far. (11 : 82-83)

So they were not only stoned to death, the stones were marked for each person by the Lord. And their city was picked up and slammed back upside down. This is a reminder for those who commit this heinous crime. And to think of celebration in our own country?

Isn’t it high time we woke up??????
